Worse than Crystal
Are you one of those people who really hated the ROM’s Crystal? Or rather the "Michael Lee Chin Crystal"?
It could have been much worse. Check out the purple and green monstrosity that is the The New National Library of the Czech Republic.
Apparently, people voted for this design.

Actually, I hated the Crystal when i first saw the design for it.
Its growing on me now.
But when I judge my reaction from back then, and look at the green and purple HR Puffinstuff-esque library above…I think we definitely got the better deal.

Are you saying that YOU “hate” the Crystal?
Just to let you know - your dad LOVES it and thinks that Torontonians will eventually be proud to call it a landmark in the city.
I’m old enough to remember how much people bad-mouthed the new city hall when it first went up. Now people from all over the world consider it to be the essential symbol of Toronto.
